HC Chief Justice Tripathi promises students good faculty, administration

Justice A K Tripathi, the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, urged the students to bring accolades and reestablish the high standards of legal education at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU). Promising the students good faculty and a considerate administration, he highlighted the fact that in a quest for success, both the students and the authorities will have to work hand in hand.


The Chief Justice paid an honorary visit to Hidayatullah National Law University on Sunday. He addressed the students, teachers and staff of the University and delivered an emotional speech in the aftermath of the protests against former Vice Chancellor Dr Sukh Pal Singh.
The Student Bar Association appealed to the students of HNLU to aim for success in all academic fields because, now, the University is theirs and all its resources are at their full disposal.


Addressing the gathering, the Chancellor said that he has not come to bury Caesar. He said that Caesar had already been buried on October 3. He said that he had come to bury the past. He said that he couldn’t sleep or eat properly after he came to know that his beloved students were going to begin a hunger strike. He told everyone that he wanted to work for the best interest of the University and the students and he shall do so in future also. For which, he informed and warned the administration and faculty that henceforth, he would be visiting the University regularly to make sure things are working in a lawful and rightful manner.
