SAF personnel takes out ‘Swachchata Route March’

SAF personnel carried out ‘Swachchata Route March’ from Ranjhi to Gwarighat and conducted cleanliness at the bank of river Narmada at Gwarighat

Depicting the humanitarian face of Special Armed Force (SAF), total 1,100 personnel of SAF 6th Battalion initiated a unique campaign under the head of ‘Swastha Jabalpur – Swachch Jabalpur’. SAF personnel carried out ‘Swachchata Route March’ from Ranjhi to Gwarighat and conducted cleanliness at the bank of river Narmada at Gwarighat.


The campaign has been initiated under the direction of Inspector General of Police, SAF, Rajababu Singh (IPS).
Swachchta Route March was inaugurated at SAF, 6th Battalion, Ranjhi and culminated at Gwarighat. In their 12-kilometres march, SAF personnel passed through GCF Estate, Sadar and Polipathar areas and spread message of cleanliness amongst residents.


Thereafter, 1,100 SAF personnel conducted cleanliness at the bank of river Narmada at Umaghat, Gwarighat and Siddhaghat. Another main attraction during the cleanliness drive was performance of SAF Brass Band Group. During the 2-hours drive, musicians played melodious tunes of patriotic and spiritual songs and encouraged the personnel and residents for maintaining cleanliness at the banks of goddess river Narmada.


IG, Rajababu Singh, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed that apart from their core duties for security arrangements, SAF initiated the unique campaign to ensure their contribution for social reformation. The special campaign was conducted with dual aspects of inspiring the residents towards cleanliness and maintaining physical fitness of SAF personnel for maintaining law and order arrangements during the forthcoming assembly elections.
Senior officers include SAF, 6th Battalion, Commandant, Lalit Shakyavar, Assistant Commandant, Kamla Joshi, Assistant Commandant, Nitesh Bhargava, Inspector, MP Singh and others enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive.


During the drive, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Chandramauli Shukla, Additional Commissioner, Gajendra Singh Nagesh, Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Ayachi and others were especially present and applauded the initiative of SAF, 6th Battalion for ensuring their participation in Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan.
