CM remembers Sardar Patel’s contribution

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan administered oath of nation’s unity on the occasion of birth anniversary of first Union Home Minister of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Earlier, CM has garlanded the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed at Vallabhbhai park situated near Mantralaya Bhawan.


CM told that it was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who worked for unity of nation. It is due to the efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that present shape of India is there. Patel got dissolved at least 500 princely states into country.

Bhopal’s Nawab and Hyderabad’s Nizam tried to go against the wind and it was due to influence of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that they had no option rather to merge the provinces with India. “Had Jammu and Kashmir case been with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel then one third portion of Jammu and Kashmir may have not gone to Pakistan,” he asserted. He administered pledge of national integrity. On this occasion, Mayor Alok Sharma, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma, BJP General Secretary Vishnudutt Sharma, ex-Mayor Krishna Gaur, MLA Surendra Nath Singh, Kewal Mishra etc were present.
