Cold likely to intensify in days to come in MP

People have started experiencing cold in Madhya Pradesh. Now, it is impossible to move out without warm clothes in the evening and night hours. With this, cold has started to set its foot in State. Cold is likely to intensify further in coming days. Cold has started to tighten its grip after arrival of northerly winds and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. This could be gauged from the fact that some parts are reeling under cold wave since last couple of days. In last 24 hours, cold wave persisted in Pachmarhi, Khajuraho and Mandla respectively.

Weather Department said that weather conditions remained dry in the State. Minimum temperature in Sagar and Rewa divisions remained below normal level. Minimum temperature was significantly below normal level in districts of Shahdol, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions. As per forecast, Weather Department said that cold wave is likely to prevail in some parts of Chhattarpur, Mandla and Hoshangabad districts. There will be no change in weather conditions till November 14. Forecast for Bhopal says that sky will be clear and winds will blow at the speed of 10 kms per hour. Minimum temperature is expected to be around 14 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, Bhopal shivered at minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius and it was one degree below normal level. Lowest minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Mandla. Weather Department said cold has increased as wind pattern contains northerly component. Current winds are north-easterly. With this, cold has made entry with a thud in State. Temperature took a nose dive all of a sudden. At night, people are seen warming themselves by sitting near bonfire at public places such as bus stand and near railway stations.
