Campion School celebrates Diwali

“Diwali, the Festival of Lights, that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was celebrated with full zeal, enthusiasm and religious fervour in Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal.

During this, various cultural programmes, folk dances, dances, act, plays were organised on this occasion. Principal Fr Dr Athnas Lakra SJ along with Vice Principal Fr. Amirtlal Toppo SJ, Superior Fr. Christdhari Kujur SJ, Bursar Fr. Ashok Kujur SJ, Secondary Staff Secretary Bhoomika Maheshwari, Senior teacher and Management Committee member Mahendra Kothari etc. The children welcomed chief guests and all the fathers, brothers and sisters with a beautiful greeting song followed by presentation of Saplings and bouquets. After this a meaningful prayer service song ‘Our Scars are our sign of Grace in our live.........’ and Greeting song ‘Sabke liye Happy Diwali....Happy Diwali.....’ highlighted the message of Deepawali. Students invoking God’s blessings thanked him for his assistance and guidance followed by “Satrangi Rango sa y eh Tyohar” song and a Beautiful Deep dance. One of the main attractions of the day is Folk Dance of Punjab ‘Bhangda’ along with the various Fusion and contemporary dances presented on the Bollywood film songs. Thereafter Bangla Folk Dance was presented by the girls’ students.

Fr Principal and Headmistress Sister highlighted the significance of the day and enlightened the staff and student with the message of Deepawali. Members of Cultural Committee and Co-ordinator of this committee Ratna Panvalkar from Secondary section organised different programmes. Students displayed their items in a very innovative way. The items prepared by the girls students included different types of Rangolis, candles, diyas and pooja thalis, etc.
Thanks giving done by teacher Manjari Tiwari. The students took blessings from their teachers before going home.
Thus, everyone went home carrying the message of love, peace and joy of the festival.
