SECR RPF team raids 2 rly e-ticket agents’ centres

The Ongoing crackdown on IRCTC agents misusing e-ticket facility continues in city with SECR’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) team busting two more persons. Acting on information, RPF team led by Inspector Ganesh Garkal raided the agents’ premises at Mankapur and Zingabai Takli respectively.


In the first case, the accused is Pushpendra Singh, Proprietor, 6Ten Services, Manakpaur. From his possession 18 e-tickets worth Rs 53,227 were booked through 15 fake IDs. A computer system worth Rs 25,000 along with a printer worth Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone of Rs 5000 and cash of Rs 5700 also was seized. In all the trace run on his computer revealed that Singh had booked 35 tickets whose total cost is Rs 98,927.


The second raid took place on the centre run by Anoop Singh from his residence. In this, the modus operandi was different as Singh after booking ticket from fake IDs, send it through mail to Shree Ganesh Tours and Travels run by Anant Choudhary. The latter gave a written statement to RPF unit of Motibagh that he was selling such e-tickets at instances of Choudhary who is on the run.


The RPF has seized the laptop used for purpose of receiving e-tickets and in all 19 tickets were issued by him costing Rs 1,10,389. The laptop costing Rs 25,000 and a printer of Rs 5,000.


Divisional Security Commissioner (DSC) Ashutosh Pandey supervised the raids and guided the RPF team. The RPF team also included Head Constables Satish Ingle, Arvind Tembhurnikar, Rahul Singh and P N Raishedam, constables Pradeep Gadve, Ishant Dixit. Police Nayak Dongre and Shedkar of Mankapur police station assisted the RPF teams.
