Singhvi opens attack on BJP

All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi described BJP’s development policies as “anti-common people”.  Talking to mediapersons at Rajiv Bhawan here on Sunday, Singhvi said that the BJP made profit based policy only for relatives of the bigwigs of the ruling party while the conditions of farmers, the poor and tribal are pathetic.The relatives of the ruling party earn much profit in their profession. On contrary, small traders and farmers are forced to face loss in their business, he claimed. 42 per cent people are living under below poverty line (BPL) in Chhattisgarh, he said, adding, the ruling party designed policies in such a manner that its own party leaders and relatives are benefited. The properties of the relatives from the ruling party have increased manifold in a short span of time, he added.


Replying to a query on Naxal problem, Rajya Sabha Member Singhvi said that the Naxal problem could be only resolved by bringing development revolution. Replying to another query on the party’s view on Rama temple in Ayodhya, Singhvi said, “If the BJP brings an ordinance to make Rama temple in Ayodhya, it can be challenged in Supreme Court.”
