7 candidates file nominations for Assembly polls

Total seven candidates filed their nominations to contest Assembly Election-2018 form their respective Assembly constituencies, on Monday.

MLA, Neelesh Awasthi filed his nomination as Congress candidate from Patan constituency while MLA, Tarun Bhanot filed his nomination as Congress candidate from Jabalpur West constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party’s MLA, Anchal Sonkar submitted his nomination from Jabalpur East while MLA, Pratibha Singh filed nomination from Bargi Assembly Constituency as BJP candidate.

Congress leader, Alok Mishra filed his nomination from Cantt Assembly Constituency while Vimlavati submitted her nomination from Shiv Sena for Bargi assembly constituency and independent candidate Kanshiram filed nomination from Patan assembly constituency.

MLA, Tarun Bhanot, MLA, Neelesh Awasthi and MLA, Anchal Sonkar reached at District Election Office along with other senior leaders and a large number of supporters.

Besides this, Congress candidate, Alok Mishra, accompanied by his wife and former Corporator, Vatsala Mishra and former Corporator, Bhagatram Singh reached to file his nomination. He expressed gratitude towards All India Congress Committee (AICC), President, Rahul Gandhi, State President, Kamalnath, Election Committee in-charge, Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Vivek Tankha, Suresh Pachori for his candidature.
