JMC holds spl drive to check spread of communicable diseases

The health department of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is carrying out special drive to check spread of communicable diseases and end mosquito menace in the city. Special teams of health department are spraying insecticides and allied chemicals in drains and nullahs.
A team of 50 employees of the department is also spraying insecticides through hand spray machines in densely populated areas of the city.


Continuing the drive, the employees of health department, on Monday sprayed insecticides in five wards of Division no. 6 (Regional Bus Stand), five wards of division no. 7 (Adhartal) and six wards of division no. 14 (Vijay Nagar).
Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Ayachi and Health Officer, G S Chandel informed that the health department is making all possible efforts to ensure proper cleanliness in the city. Officials said special teams of the department are spraying medicines to check spread of communicable diseases.


They said the health department employees conducted drive in Deendayal Upadhyay ward, Rajiv Gandhi, Govnid Vallabh Pant, Dr Rammanohar Lohia and Dr Rajendra Prasad ward of division no 6.
Likewise, they also carried out drive in Subhashchandra Bose ward, Shahid Abdul Hameed, Maharshi Mahesh Yogi, Deewan Adhar Singh and Nirmal Chand Jain ward of division no. 7. Similarly, the department also conducted drive in Cherital ward, Maharaja Agrasen, Dr Jakir Hussain, Chitranjan Das, Jai Prakash Narayan and Pt. Motilal Nehru ward of division no. 14.


The senior officials said health department is also operating fogging machines to end mosquito menace. It is also spraying medicines and insecticides in drains and nullahs to ensure cleanliness and to check spread of communicable diseases.
Amongst the officials present during the drive were Assistant Health Officer, K K Dubey, R P Gupta, Chief Health Inspector and Health Inspector Pola Rao, Sunil Gujarati, Indra Kumar Tamia, Harsha Patel, Rajesh Kureel, Vimal Mishra, Atul Raikwar, Dharmendra Raj, Ravindra Singh, Santosh Gaur and others.
