Baidyanath Ayurved Bhavan celebrates Dhanvantari Jayanti

BAIDYANATH Ayurvedic Bhavan, one of the pioneers in Ayurvedic medicine, celebrated Dhanvantari Jayanti. Believing that ‘Health is the most important aspect of life’ Baidyanath has always been pioneer in promoting the importance of Ayurvedic medicine.


Due to the efforts of the company Dhanvantari Jayanti has also gain importance and is being celebrated as ‘National Health Day’. Baidyanath is not only manufacturing top quality Ayurvedic medicines but is also dedicated in promoting and developing Ayurved. Ayurved Research and Trust has been formed by Baidyanath to honour Vaids (Ayurved doctors), which was formed in the year 1979 in the name of ‘Pandit Ramnarayan Sharma Vaid Ayurved Anusandhan Nyas’. The main objective of the trust is to honour best Ayurved book author, best Ayurved doctor with Rs 1 lakh cash and silver idol of God Dhanvantari.


The cash prize has increased to Rs 2 lakh which is most prestigious award in the field of Ayurved.  The award is now given by the President or Prime Minister of the country. On December 4, 2017 Ramnath Kovind, President of India honoured 7 Ayurved scholars at Rashtrapati Bhavan.


Also 10 universities were awarded with gold medal in the name of Pandit Ramnarayan Sharma Vaid. Baidyanath Bhavan also every year gives Vaid Pandit Ramnarayan Sharma memorial ‘Kalidas Award’ which was started since 2004. Under the award cash prize of Rs 50,000 and certificate is given. Last year, the award was given to Prof Bhagwati Prasad Tripathi of Varanasi and Dr Devnathan Tirupati. Vaid Ramnarayanji Sharma Memorial ‘National Seminar’ has started.
