ASI Deptt undertakes renovation of ancient temple Bhaand Deval

Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Department has undertaken the renovation of an ancient temple of ‘Bhaand Deval’ at Arang.


The 11th century Digamber Jain Temple has idols of Bhagwan Ajitath, Neminath, Shreyansh Teen Teerthankar made of crystals. The idols in this 200-feet tall temple are infested by moss. ASI had set up a scaffold for the cleaning work of idols. ASI experts are using special chemicals to clean the idols, which are again returning to their former glory.

Various events mark Parakh programme at different schools
Events like general knowledge tests and ‘Kabaad se Jugaad’ were organised under the Parakh programme at different schools of the block on Saturday.
The General Knowledge test was held for the students of Government Naveen Primary School Sadakpara Charoda. Winners of this competition were Sudha Banjare-1st, Preety Dhidhi-2nd in primary level, Neelam Sahu-1st, and Teena Sahu-2nd in middle level.


On the occasion, School Management Committee President Santosh Kosariya Cluster Coordinator Jitendra Shukla, Kirti Kumar Parmal, Sushil Kumar Awde, Kheduram Sahu, Tripti Sharma, Bheekhma Sahu, Khamman Sahu, Ashish Baghel and teachers were present. Meanwhile, Kabaad se Jugaad programme was organised at the Government Primary and Middle School Paraskol.  Here students cluster centres of Kosrangi, Amsena, Bhainsa, Korasi, and Samoda  participated with profound enthusiasm.  Winners of the competition wee Prema Kannauje-1st and Tikesh Sahu-2nd at primary level whereas Krishna Kumar Kosariya-1st and Chhaya Sahu-2nd at middle level.  In the high and higher secondary level, Kuldeep Sahu and Yogita Dewangan came first.
