RGPV VC, Registrar visit exam centres

Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) Sunil Kumar and Registrar Dr S K Jain made sudden visit of examination centres. The university is continuing semester exams for all from December 1 to 30. There are 137 exam centres across State out of which 46 exam centres are there in Bhopal. The two officials made sudden visit of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SIST.ech) and All Saint College of Engineering and Technology. Sudden visit of officials will be continued in several colleges till completion of the exams. The semester examination for BE, B.Tech, B.Pharma, ME, M.Tech, M.Pharma, B.Arch, MCA, Dual Degree, integrated MBA and other courses started on December 1. It is theoretical exams of 3 lakh students in different semesters and courses. Exams will be continued till December 31. Examination time is from 10 am to 1:30 pm. In order to keep transparency in exam, university has appointed 300 invigilators at 140 centres across state. The university has also deployed 50 flying squad members in nine different teams. Besides CCTV cameras are also installed at all the centres.


Practical exam of students have been completed by university on November 30. The exam time table has been already rescheduled by university keeping view few holidays. As per new scheme, B.Tech, BE, BPharma, ME, M.Tech, MPharma, B.Arch, MCA, dual degree MBA etc semester exams would be continued till December 31. Earlier, exams were concluding on December 26. The university is spending about one crore to bring transparency in the exam and avoid any kind of cheating cases in the exam hall. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has provided course wise data of about 46000 students to RGPV out of which 25000 students belong to semester one.


The university has given guidelines to the affiliated institutes for theory and external exams. Vice Chancellor Sunil Kumar Gupta directed all affiliated colleges to follow guidelines properly keeping in mind the electoral code of conduct.


All colleges have been directed to conduct the exams under CCTV surveillance and camera recordings are must for all externals and theory paper. The university has assigned invigilators and flaying squad team for the exam. The university has directed all institutes to release identity card for all officials and employees assign on exam duty and only assigned staff would be allowed to enter the campus during exams. RGPV has asked to hold meeting with all employees assigned on duty a day before starting the exam and inform them entire examination related guidelines and rules.


Mobile phone is strictly prohibited inside exam hall for students and invigilators.  Question papers will be opened under camera and invigilator surveillance. Invigilators are not allowed to read the question paper in exam hall. Flying squad team is assigned to visit the centres. RGPV said that only teaching staff are allowed to perform their duty as invigilator in the exam hall. Answer sheet for practical exams would be provided to the students after external
examiner appears at the exam centre. Arrangement of generator for electricity service is must at all centres.
