Wisdom comes from experience: Mishra

Dr Vedprakash Mishra, Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences - Karad, on Saturday said that wisdom comes from experience. While delivering the keynote address at the 4th Triennial Conference of the All India UCO Bank Retirees’ Federation organised here, Mishra said an ordinary person learns from imitation, a mediocre person learns from mistakes but a wise person learns from perceptions, “And right perception comes from experience, which is wisdom. Wisdom must stand for further creativity,” he said advising the participating retirees to lead the society with their rich experience.


Justice Vikas Sirpurkar, Retired Judge, Supreme Court of India was the chief guest on the occasion. Also present were G V Shekhar, Retired Zonal Manager, UCO Bank, Nagpur Zone; A V Telang, Zonal Manager, UCO Bank, Nagpur Zone; M K Jha, President; Anindya Kumar Basu, General Secretary of the Federation; K Vijhayan, President and C M Patel, General Secretary of All India UCO Bank Employees Federation; O P Varma, Chairman Chairman of the Conference Reception Committee and A K Mitra, President.


Justice Shirpurkar, in his address said that change gives birth to new things, “Retirees must remove their office chair from their mind and must change with the time.” At the outset, O P Verma introduced the guests also skope spoke about the conference.
