ITM inaugurates ‘Make in India Lab’

ITM University achieved yet another milestone by setting up the most advanced ‘Make in India Lab’ in line with national
agenda to make the youth force highly skilled and employable. This Lab is truly one of its kinds in whole Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states.

The laboratory is equipped with cutting edge technology and lashed with the latest version of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) 5-axis machines, varieties of Robos and a most sophisticated TAL Bravo 5-Axis Robotics machine.
The Lab is also having the best in classes CNC machines as 2-Axis CNC Lathe, 3-Axis CNC Mill, 5-Axis CNC Mill, TAL Bravo Industrial Robot from Tata Industry, 3D printer and lab size 5-Axis robot. All machines are American make and highly useful. This Lab is a part of the series of ‘Make in India’ labs set up by ITM Group of Institutions.

School of Engineering conducted 13-day faculty
development programme to train the faculty of engineering
on CAD/CAM/CAE/CNC and Robotics. The lab fascinated large number of students and faculty members, and enthused them to take on more number of industrial projects.
Earlier, the lab was inaugurated by Vice-ChancellorandDirector of IIIT Raipur, Dr Pradeep Sinha.

Deputy Director MSME, Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Sanjay Kumar and large number of students and teaching faculty were present on the occasion. In his welcome address,
Dr Sanjay Kumar motivated the students to take keen interest in developing innovative projects with the help of these state of art machines. He advocated the concept of ‘Mind to Market’.
Dr. Pradeep Sinha inspired the students with his rich and vast supercomputing knowledge. He laid stressed on Cognitive Science, artificial intelligence and their industrial applications.
