MPERPDCL MD interacts with staff on ‘Dakshta App’ during workshop

Madhya Pradesh East Region Power Distribution Company Limited (MPERPDCL), Managing Director, Mukesh Chand Gupta interacted with linemen, junior and assistant engineers during a workshop on ‘Dakshta App’ at company’s corporate headquarters, Shakti Bhawan.

Addressing the workshop, MD Gupta said that the company is always intended to encourage its employees and efficiently completion of their works. He appreciated the contribution of field employees in providing better electricity services to consumers and also warned that any kind of irregularity will never be tolerated. He sought practical problems while using Dakshta App in metre and DTR reading and also asked suggestions from field employees. Field employees from Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa regions attended the workshop to learn about the functioning of Dakshta mobile application. They were given information about clicking photo of metre reading and uploading it on the application.

Chief General Manager (Commercial), Ajay Sharma and Chief General Manager (Works), N.K. Jain provided important information about the operation of Dakshta App and encouraged them for better utilization of the advanced feature. IT Cell officers also detailed about the application through a presentation.

It may be mentioned that the company has developed Dakshta App in order to bring more transparency in metre reading and checking line loss on transformer level. The advent of latest technology put-up a significant check in number of metre reading related complaints and ensuring consumers’ satisfaction.

Field employees are also using the app for photo reading of transformers to cross check losses. It is also beneficial for performance of metre reader. Use of Dakshta App has been started at 80 IPDS and RAPDRP cities and photo metre reading of more than 8 lakhs consumers was carried out till January 31, 2018.
