Three killed in separate road mishaps

Three persons killed in separate mishaps in Wadi and Bajaj Nagar Police Station areas. In first accident, a speeding truck knocked dead two bikers at Wadi while a 32-year-old youth killed after his car rammed into a road divider at Bajaj Nagar.
According to Wadi police, Ashok Ramraj Yadav (32), a resident of 8th mile, Palkar Nagar and Kailas Wakode (35), a resident of near Shitala Mata Temple, Wadi were travelling on a motorcycle (MH-40/F-1033) at 10 pm. A speeding truck (MH-19/Z-5097) came behind and hit the motorcycle. Ashok and Kailas sustained grievous injuries in the mishap and died on the spot.


While Dhananjay Vasant Mahalle (37), a resident of Lidora village, Tehsil-Katol who was heading towards his village on another motorcycle (MP-12/M-6720) rammed into the stationary truck.


Dhananjay also sustained gives injuries in the mishap. Wadi police have registered a case under Sections 279, 337 and 304 (a) of IPC read with Sub-sections 184 and 177 of MVA.
A police officer informed that truck driver - Ishwar Gamit (58), a resident of Umlova, Dist.- Tapi, Gujarat was arrested after the accident. Ashok Yadav was selling milk. He leaves behind a wife, three daughters and a son. He borrowed the motorcycle from one Pramod Dharukar. Ashok and Kailas had gone to a liquor shop to consume liquor.


While returning to Dharukar’s home, the truck hits their motorcycle, the officer said.
In another accident, a speeding Swift Dzire (MH-31/EQ-0642) car rammed into a road divider at Mate Square on Friday at 11.30 pm. The car was driven by Rahul Ashok Dixit (32), a resident of Plot No. 1, Income Tax colony.


Rahul was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to the injuries on Saturday. The Bajaj Nagar police have registered the case under Sections 279, 304 (a), 427 of IPC.
