Alert cops, divers rescue woman who jumped into Dhuandhar

DARING policemen and local divers succeeded in rescuing a woman from Dhuandhar. The woman attempted suicide by jumping into the river at Dhuandhar waterfall under jurisdiction of Bhedaghat police station on Tuesday. Learning about the suicidal attempt of a woman, SHO of Bhedaghat police station M D Nagotia along with other policemen reached the spot and started rescue operation to save the woman.
After a hectic workout, the team successfully rescued the woman and rushed her to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital where her condition is reported to be stable.

The woman has been identified as Ganga Soni (32), a resident of Shastri Nagar in Madhav Nagar police station, Katni district. The woman was rescued by police team comprising divers
Mubin Khan, Guru and Constables, Aman Sikarwar, Hakam Bhagwat and Praveen Nema. SHO, Bhedaghat, M D Nagotia informed that they have rescued third person who had attempted suicide in Dhuandhar in last one week. Police team had already rescued a girl from Uttar Pradesh and another girl of Ganga Nagar in Garha area 4 to 5 days back.
