Collector Choudhary inspects crops after unseasonal rains

The Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary inspected the condition of crops after the occurrence unseasoned rainfall at village Binaiki of Patan block.
He sought information about impact of heavy downpour on standing crop of wheat and gram crop. He said that occurrence of rain is favourable for the wheat sown late by peasants. On the other hand, if the rainfall continues, it would be harmful for the gram and Masoor crop. The peasants of Binaiki village Amit and Sushel were also present on the occasion. The Tehsildar Patan Shilesh Dwivedi said that about 19 ml rainfall has been registered in Patan tehsil in last two days. However, there is no news of damaging of crops by rainfall in the area.

The Collector also instructed all the Revenue and Agriculture Department officers to ascertain the impact of rainfall on crops. He said that revenue and agriculture officers should go to fields and present report after inspecting the condition of crops. He also instructed to inspect with agriculture scientists so that they would give relevant advice to the peasants. He said that every possible support would be provided to the peasants in case of damaging of crops.
