Support farming with supplementary business: Amruta Fadnavis

Amruta Fadnavis was addressing the gathering during an event in Fetri, an adopted village of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

The farmers should support their farming with supplementary businesses like animal husbandry, dairy development. This will grow them financially and socially, said Amruta Fadnavis, Vice-President of Axis Bank.

Animal Conservation Department, Panchayat Samiti, Nagpur and Zilla Parishad have jointly organised District annual scheme 2017-18 under which an exhibition of animal and bird was held at Fetri. The prize distribution of the same was conducted in presence of Amruta Fadnavis. Fetri is an adopted village of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Fadnavis said, “Our majority farming is depend on the nature. Farmers face lot of trouble due to nature’s fury. These developments take them into distress. Considering all these aspects, farmers should start supporting businesses along with the farming.”The sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed in every school of each taluka. The project is named as ‘Pankh Project’. Amruta Fadnavis inaugurated the ‘Pankh Project’. This project is being supported by Western Coadfields Limited (WCL). On this occasion Chairman-cum-Managing Director Rajiv Ranjan Mishra was felicitated. Sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed in schools in Kamptee, Hingna, Bhiwapur, Katol, and 13 schools in Kalmeshwar taluka.


The Health Sub-Centre at Fetri too was revamped. It was dedicated to the public in presence of Amruta Fadnavis.
There is an app called ‘Shetkari Mitra’ based on agriculture experimental project. This app has 18 modules. Farmers can post their problems through the app and can ask for the help from experts.

Fadnavis also inaugurated gym set up in the ground of Zilla Parishad school, Zilla Parishad digital school at Kavdas. She visited Mother Dairy Milk Collection Centre, entreprise of agriculture-based products, dairy, medicinal plants developed by Maharashtra Industrial Development Centre.


Nagpur Zilla Parishad President Nisha Sawarkar, Vice-President Sharad Donekar, Nagpur Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, Special Executive Officer Asha Pathan, Group Development Officer Kiran Kowe, District Animal Husbandry Officer Dr U S Hirudkar, Dr Priyamvada Siras, Dr Amar Shambharkar, Namrata Raut, Sujit Nitnavare, Sarpanch Manisha Gawande, Deputy Sarpanch Aniruddha Lamsonge, Kavdas and Fetri villagers were present in large number.
