The upgradation aims at improving the employability aspects

Nagpur is witnessing all round development including that of MIHAN. The industries that are coming in MIHAN absolutely will go for local manpower. They will be eyeing for the good employable people. Considering all these aspects, the district administration is trying to produce the competent manpower through educational institutions. In that context, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has decided to develop Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Nagpur as a Smart Institute.

In a meeting held on Thursday at the hall of District Collector, Bawankule instructed the officials to present the perspective plan that for the all round development of ITI.
Bawankule said that the technical expertise that would cater to the needs of the industries being set up in Nagpur and around can be produced through ITI.

He assured that he would provide the funds to bring modern equipment at ITI. He said, “The ITI at Nagpur has 19 acre land. On this huge land the the building with modern facilities will be set up and students would be provided all the amenities under one roof.”

Bawankule also informed the officials that Government was planning to start 25 new courses and Nagpur ITI will get 13 more sections. The existing facilities would be increased. Green building would be brought, informed Bawankule.
Kurve suggested that a good placement centre would be brought for the students completing education at ITI.
Joint Director Vocation education Chandrakant Ninale was also present.
