Technological advancement is need of the hour and modern equipment are must in emergency services like fire service. Keeping this in mind, a Mumbai based Fire Safety Vehicle Manufacturing Company has introduced a Motor Bike Fire Fighting System (MBFFS) that will prove to be a milestone in fire emergency response.
The MBFFS was introduced during the inaugural day of Indian Fire Service Games going on at National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

Developed and manufactured in India, this Motor bike fire engine is first of its kind in all over the world. The fire engine is developed on Royal Enfield Himalyan 410cc bike. The bike is armed with an inbuilt high pressure fire fighting pump of 60 litres capacity.

“This MBFFS is a self propelled fire fighting system which uses motor bike engine power to generate water mist using high pressure pump. It consists of PTO driven high pressure pump, water tank and high pressure hose reel fitted with fog gun, informed B S Tongar, a senior official of the Manufacturing company.

The engine can be used as first aid responder to control the spreading of fire in short interval without need of many firemen as well as heavy fire fighting equipment as used in conventional fire tenders, Tongar informed.
Fire services departments of Mumbai, Ujjain and Bhopal are already using this MBFFS. The bike costs Rs 9 to 10 lakhs and weighs around 150 kgs.
