Tributes paid to Chandulal Chandrakar on his 23rd death anniversary

Glowing tributes were paid to Chandulal Chandrakar on his 23rd death anniversary by garlanding his statues at Supela Chowk and at INTUC Bhavan in Sector-6 by Congress leaders and activists, led by former state minister, Badruddin Qureshi. 

While addressing on this occasion, Qureshi pointed that several revered and highly popular leaders of older generation in Chhattisgarh, like Guru Ghasidas, Shaheed Vir Narayan, Sundarlal Sharma, Thakur Pyarelal Ji, Khubchand Baghel, Minimata, Brijlal Verma and others have cherished the ardent desire for formation of separate Chhattisgarh State, but it was Chandulal Chandrkar who successfully pressed the demand from Panchayat to Assembly level for carving out the separate Chhattisgarh State out of the erstwhile undivided Madhya Pradesh. He will always be remembered as the leader who struggled hard and contributed immensely for the formation of separate Chhattisgarh State; pointed Qureshi while elaborating upon the unique leadership and significant contribution of Chandulal Chandrakar for the formation of separate Chhattisgarh State, while fulfilling the aspirations of huge number of people from Chhattisgarh and also those of the senior leaders from bygone era.

Congress leaders and activists, present for paying tributes to Late Chandulal Chandrakar were: Koteshwar Rao, Rajeev Yadav, Saket Chandrkar, Satyavati Sahu, D.Kamraju, Nitish Kashyap, Heeralal, Lokesh Sahu, Rajesh, Javed Khan, Bhagvan Sharma, Naresh Sagarvanshi, Naeem Baig, Sumit Singh and others.
