Cops rescue girl from being gangraped

Alert cops of FRV Dial 100 rescued an adolescent girl when she was being gang-raped by eight boys at an abandoned house near Soniai Khermai Mandir under the jurisdiction of Ranjhi police station, on Monday evening.

Taking prompt action in the case, police succeeded in apprehending all the eight accused named Shanu Sripal (18), resident of near JP Memorial School, Deepak alias Babu Sonkar (18) of Bapu Nagar, Amit Lakhera (20) of Chandan Colony, Ayush Sonkar (18) of Manegaon, Arvind Tripathi (19) of Mastana Chowk, Vikas Mehto (18), Mohit Singh (18) and Prakash Raikwar (18), residents of Westland in Khamaria.

According to Ranjhi police, Dial 100 personnel received information that a group of boys took a girl to an abandoned house near Soniai Khermai Mandir behind LPG godown and the girl was screaming. Acting promptly on the information, Dial 100 team led by Head Constable, Rameshwar immediately reached the spot and found 4 motorcycles parked outside an abandoned house. A boy, who was standing on the top, ran away inside the house after seeing the police team. Police entered the abandoned house and found a 16-year-old girl and brought her to police station.

The girl informed that she is student of class VII and lived in Sarrapipar area. She was returning home after meeting her friend when two known boys named Shanu Sripal and Deepak Sonkar stopped her on the road and Shanu started insisting her to talk to them. She refused them and started walking towards her house. The miscreants pursued her and threatened to kill her mother and brother. She panicked and sat on their motorcycle and they took her behind
Mohania School, where Shanu tried to take her physicaladvantage when a man and a woman warned him to leave the girl.
