Youth shot dead by two boys in Ganga Nagar

Sensation prevailed in Ganga Nagar area when a youth was shot dead by two boys over an old rivalry under the jurisdiction of Sanjeevani Nagar police station midnight on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Khare (32), a resident of Ganga Nagar area in Sanjeevani Nagar.
SHO of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, Sanjay Bhalavi informed that in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, police received information of a firing incident. Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and found that the injured was rushed to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital.

Police team reached the hospital, where a boy named Raju alias Shubham Khare, a resident of Ganga Nagar, informed that he along with his elder brother works as building construction material supplier. He knows Utkarsh Dubey and Hemu Thakur. He was standing outside the house and his elder brother Saurabh Khare was walking in front of residence of Utkarsh Dubey in the midnight. Meanwhile, Utkarsh came out of the house and started arguing with Saurabh. Hearing their argument, Shubham stepped forward towards them, while Hemu also reached the spot.

Utkarsh and Hemu started manhandling them. Before he learnt their intentions, Hemu Thakur took out a pistol and opened fire on Saurabh. The bullet wounded neck of Saurabh and miscreants managed to escape from the spot on their Activa scooter. Bleeding profusely, Saurabh fell down on the road. The injured was rushed to hospital with the help of relatives and friends, where Saurabh was declared brought dead. Hemu Thakur and Utkarsh killed his brother by firing bullet on him. Police sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama.


Acting on the complaint, Sanjeevani Nagar police have registered a case under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC and Section 25, 27 of Arms Act. Police have started a rigorous search for Utkarsh Dubey and Hemu Thakur.
