4 warkaris killed as truck hits their auto near Waghadin District Correspondent

AKOLA, Feb 6

In a ghastly accident, 4 warkaris were killed when a truck rammed into a stationary Appe auto on Patur-Wadegon road near Waghadi Nala on Monday
afternoon.

As per details, 9 warkaris were travelling to Shegaon in the auto (MH- 37/B-369). The speeding truck ( R J-13/GC-0782) that came from behind hit the auto in which the warkaris were resting. The truck driver lost control at the steering and the vehicle turned turtle. The warkaris fell on the road and the sacks loaded with cotton seeds fell on the them. Ramesh Kapse, Kashinath Kapse, Leela Kapse and Ram Kapshe died on the spot while others sustained severe injuries. It was reported that two persons who sustained severe injuries succumbed to injuries when they were being taken to the hospital. It may be mentioned that the warkaris were from Umra Kapshe village of Ansingh tehsil in Washim district.

Meanwhile, the truckdriver and cleaner fled the spot. Cops of Balapur police station rushed to the spot. After panchanama, the bodies were sent for post-mortem. The proceedings were done under the guidance of Vinod Thakre, PI. Further investigation is under way.
