The 45th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for Children (Regional Level) 2018 is being organised by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jabalpur Region at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 GCF Jabalpur on Tuesday and Wednesday with a view to encourage, popularise and inculcate scientific temper among the children.

The main theme of the exhibition was Science, Mathematics and Environment for Inclusive Development.
The organisation of this main theme was supported by six sub-themes, viz., Health and Well Being, Resource Management and Food Security, Waste Management and Water Body Conservation and Transport and communication.

Dr E T Arasu, Deputy Commissioner Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan, Regional Office Jabalpur was the chief guest who highlighted the objectives of science exhibition. Shahida Praveen, Assistant Commissioner KVS Regional Office Jabalpur and D Patle Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Jabalpur were also present on the occasion.
The exhibition was also honoured by 12 prominent subject specialised professors from different colleges who were invited as the jury members. A total of 264 young enthusiastic participants from 52 different KVs of Jabalpur Region along with 42 escort teachers participated by putting up their participatory innovative working models and investigation based exhibits.

The programme started with a rousing welcome by Colour Party accorded to the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Saraswati Vandana and vibrant welcome song by secondary students were also presented. Arvind Singh Thakur, Principal KV No 1 GCF presented formal welcome address.

The chief guest in his inaugural speech said that the sole aim behind the exhibition was to inculcate scientific temper and encourage creativity among the students. He boosted the morale of the participants to make use of the opportunity for the nation building and called upon teachers to gain new insights into teaching and learning and to act as positive role models. After formal inauguration of the exhibition, he visited each and every section and took keen interest in viewing the exhibits. He also interacted with the students and appreciated the wonderful Innovative Projects of the students.
