NMC names road after Adv V G Bhangde

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has named a road between Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court building to Nagpur Metro Office in Civil Lines after noted Lawyer Adv V G Bhangde. Mayor Nanda Jichkar unveiled the plaque in a function held on Tuesday.


Mayor while addressing the function said, Bhangde family is in a legal practice for last 75 years. They are pioneers in the field of law and judiciary in Orange City. Adv V G Bhangde also stamped his footprints in the field of social works. He always provided legal help to the poor and needy people of the region. Presently, six lawyers of the family are still practicing in the High Court and Supreme Court. Adv V G Bhangde was highly qualified and obtained degree of LLM in the field of labour, taxation and constitutional law. His name had been registered in Limca Book of Records. He was Professor in Nagpur Law college and taught Evidence subject to the law students. The new generation should learn lesson from the contribution of Adv V G Bhangde, she added.


Corporators Kishor Jichkar, Pragati Patil, Nishant Gandhi, Shilpa Dhote, Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Morone, senior counsel M G Bhangde, Adv Raju Kinhede, Geeta V Bhangde, Adv Vivek Bhangde, Adv R M Bhangde, Teena Jichkar, Adv Ashok Bhangde, Adv Baba Siddique and others were present.


Senior corporator Kishor Jichkar made introductory remarks and gave brief description about Bhangde family. Adv. Ashok Bhangde expressed gratitude towards NMC for naming road after Adv V G Bhangde. Morone welcomed all the guests while Ashok Kolhatkar conducted the proceedings.
Nishant Gandhi proposed vote of thanks. Brajesh Kumar Khemka, Meghna Khemka, Piyush Bandoria, Renu Bandoria, Nilesh Jichkar and others were present.
