Senior office-bearers of Mahakoshal Yuva Vikas Manch on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary and demanded him to ensure obeying of traffic rules in the city.

They said traffic has become untamed. Traffic jam and accidents have become common sight in the city. Manch members said unruly traffic is now proving dear to children. On Monday, a school van plunged into gorge injuring school children.They alleged that after such incidents, Traffic Police and RTO become alert and conduct drives for two-three days. Thereafter, they took no pains to see whether traffic rules are followed or not. Taking undue advantage of lethargy of Traffic Police, drivers of school vans, school buses, auto and other four wheelers do rash driving.

Office bearers of the Manch demanded the district administration to direct schools and drivers of buses, vans to follow traffic rules properly. They said the administration must ensure speed governors in schools buses and vans, restrict overloading and get ensure obeying of traffic rules like speed
limitation etc.

They also demanded strict restricting on entry of heavy vehicles in the city during ‘no entry’ duration.
Amongst those present on the occasion were Deepak Pachori, Sunny Rohra, Shobhna Rajput, Shalini Nikhar, Sanjeev Pachori, Sanju Thakur, Manish Sahu,
and others.
