Singaji power plant raising capacity

The power plant of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPCGL) this year is raising its electricity capability to 1320 MW. According to project, its first unit will start functioning in the coming month of March and the other unit will be in July month.

At the campus of Thermal Power Plant, Singaji extending the project M/S L&T will setup the Super Critical Technique on the basis of EPC in 3rd and 4th unit, which will be based on 660-660 megawatt, containing Boiler, Turbine and Generator including all the main machinery will be set up and other different machinery will also sent for the work of erection and commissioning. At the present time, the project has obtained 88 % of Net Physical Progress. In these units, the hydraulic test of boiler is being done before the time and the first unit of these boiler machinery was lighten up in the month of January It is pre-decided that first unit will function in the coming month of March 2018 with the super critical techniques based on 660-660 megawatt and in this unit from July 2018 the commercial production will be present to start.
The second unit of this plant will begin functioning in the coming month of July, continue to which commercial production of this will also start in the month of November. Expenses done in this project were of Rs 4,240 crore.

The Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company has initiated process of super critical units establishment replacing the 1 2 and 3 old units of Satpura Thermal Power Project and Amarkantak Thermal Power Project’s unit number 1 and 2 as per direction of the Government of Madhya Pradesh and Central Electricity Authority.

Continue with that, a workplan has also being initiated power generating company to utilise the open use space in all thermal power plants by installing the solar panel at terrace, roof tops. And the tender has also invited for this work, which is under process.
