When it comes to pediatric dentistry, Dental Phobia alias Dental Fear is the most frequent problem. There are several factors that contribute to a child’s fear of pediatric dentist, and the most important factor is ‘Parents Fear’. Shocking? Yes, a mom’s and a dad’s dental fear plays a huge role in their child’s fear of the dentist. According to the recent study, 9 per cent to 15 per cent of children avoid seeing the dentist because of anxiety and fear, that is about 30 million toddlers over the globe. In a survey polled by the leading Dental Health Foundation, it’s revealed that 36 per cent of those who didn’t see a dentist regularly said that fear were the main reason.
