CII starts 12th two-wheeler mechanic course

AFTER successfully running 11 industry specific courses in different trades, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chhindwara Skill Training Centre has launched its 12th course for two-wheeler repair and maintenance with Hero MotoCorp. Kamal Nath, Former Minister, Government of India and Member of Parliament inaugurated the 12th ‘Two-Wheeler Mechanic Course’ at CII Skill Training Centre, Chhindwara in association with Hero MotoCorp Ltd The course aims at an intensive training for the rural youth in two-wheeler maintenance and repair, where on completion of the residential course the student will be ready to be employed in the set skills. The objective of the centre is to create a talent pool of trained workforce for industry and enable access for urban poor to employment opportunities.

Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of any area and the country as a whole. The economy becomes more productive, innovative and competitive through the existence of more skilled human potential. Increasing pace of technology provide both challenges and growing opportunities for economic expansion and job creation. To take advantage of such opportunities, CII has set up the Skills Centre with strong industry participation in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The CII Skills initiative in Chhindwara is ‘one-of-its kind’, conceptualised and driven by industry and aimed at creating talent pool of trained workmen for industry CII Skills Centre aims at imparting employment oriented vocational training, especially to those hailing from marginalised sections and economically weaker category youths in and around the district of Chhindwara, informs a press release issued by Abhaya Singh, Head of CII Vidarbha Zone.
