Devki Sahu felicitated on Women’s Day

Devki Sahu was felicitated on the occasion of International Women’s Day in a prestigious function held at Developmental Block-level, at Krishi Upaj Mandi Arang. On the occasion, women motivators of Sakshar Bharat programme, instructors, public representatives, teachers, Aanganwadi workers, Mitanins, Vihar group, self help group, mid-day meal group women were felicitated with mementoes, shreefal, books and Sabla kits were distributed. Women staffs of Swachh Bharat Mission and Vihan project were also given certificates of merit. International poet Aruna Chauhan (Hindustani) presented her poetry. D Tandi, Vandana Sharma, Sima Dutta presented poetry before the audience. Naveen Markandey, MLA Arang was the Chief guest, Sharda Devi Verma presided over the programme. Special guest was Pushpa Kurre, Janpad Panchayat member.

Karuna Tiwari of Municipal Council Arang, Padma Chandrakar-Member of State Women Commission, Kusumlata Sahu-Member District Panchayat Raipur, Shital Banal Sub-divisional officer Revenue, Parwati Patel-Tehsildar, Shakun Chandrakar-Japad member Arang, Kamla Chandrakar, Shobha Soni Corporator. Speaking on the occasion Chief guest Markandey said that women should be respected in every era, we should not forget the contribution made by each and every women for the society.

Devki Sahu-Teacher of Government School Rewa, Kanta Kerketta, Nilofar Khan, Shahjadi Begam, All India Poetl Aruna Chauhan, D Tandi, Vandana Sharma, Seema Dutta, Chandrakali Verma, Chandreshwari Jangde, Sumitra Tandon, Shailendri Verma, Mamta Chandrakar, Laxmi Nirmalkar, Gulapa Dhiwar, Sarpanch Santoshi Sahu of Sonpairi gram panchayat, Punni Das Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Kosrangi, mid day meal groups of girls school and middle schools in village Kosrangi, Vihan group Rasni, Chandrakhuri, Bhaisa, Ombati, Shail Chandrakar, Anusuiya, Rajkumari Baghel, Chandrika Viashnav, Sagar Devi, Amrika Dhritlahre, Shanti Patel and Sumitra Gidhore were felicitated.

Rajesh Sahu is Sahu Samaj PresidentAnnual meeting of Sahu Samaj of Arang circle took place on Sunday. Rajesh Sahu has been re-elected as president of Sahu Samaj during the meeting at Samiya Mata Temple premises.Cong’s zone-level meet held Zone-level meeting of Congress party took place at Gullu and Samoda village to form congress committee at zone level. Guru Rudra Kumar, Dr MK Kaushal, Komal Sahu,Shiv Sahu, Mohit Nishad, Yad Sahu, Ramkrit Sahu, Nandkumar Markande and others were present. A free health check-up camp was also organised on the occasion.


Women’s Day observed at PBIV
Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya (PBIV) observed Women’s Day. Large numbers of women and Men took part in the programme. Kumari Lata Didi of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vidhwavidyalaya was the Chief guest on the occasion. Brahmakumari sister Rashmi, Karuna Tiwari, president of Municipal Council was special guest. Zila Panchayat member Kusumlata Sahu, Principal of Mother’s pride school Girija Devi Shukla inaugurated the programme by lighting traditional lamp.

Forgery in PMAY comes to fore
A matter of forgery in the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) came to light at Arang. During Jansampark programme Parmanand Jangde, Former Zila Panchayat Member reported the matter to Zila Panchayat office. He mentioned that in the name of registration for PMAY few people are collecting Rs 300- 500 from villagers in wrong way through gram Panchayat camp. He informed that, a NGO was operating the network from Noida, UP.
District Panchayat Administration swung into action and took information from the persons involved in collection of money from villagers. Action has been initiated
against the accused.

Workshop on Women Empowerment
Under Sakshar Bharat programme workshop on Women Empowerment took place on Monday. District Collector OP Chaudhary was the Chief guest,
Nilesh Kumar Shirsagar CEO and Secretary Zila Lok Shiksha Samity Raipur gave guidelines. Large numbers of women took part in the workshop. Women motivators, Mitanins, Anganwadi workers and others took part in the workshop.
