Strike of contractual health employees entered 22nd day on March 12. A large number of contractual health employees gathered and formed human chain to showcase their unity at Government Jai Prakash Hospital. P C Sharma and Arun Dwivedi, head of Grade Three Government Employees Union participated and supported the indefinite strike. They alleged that the Government is fooling contractual employees. Employees union demanded that the contractual employees should be regularised. Rakesh Mishra, State President of Contractual Health Employees Association, stated that large number of contractual health employees gathered to oppose the orders of National Health Mission. Contractual health employees said that they will not get scared of any warning or ultimatum given by Government. None will start rendering services untill or unless Government accepts their demands.
Notably, National Health Mission has written a letter to contractual health employees on March 8 directing them to join duty till March 12. Contractual health employees forcefully opposed the orders and formed human chain on the premises of Government JP Hospital.

B N Chouhan, Director of National Rural Health Mission, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ said NHM told contractual health employees to join till March 12 if they will not join their duty then will face the music. None of the contractual health employee joined their jobs so NHM will take appropriate actions against them.
