3 wanted criminals carrying cash reward held

A COMBINED team of Crime Branch and Adhartal police arrested three wanted criminals of attempting murder of a man and police had declared cash rewards of Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 on them. The arrested have been identified as Rajendra Mehra alias Bade Miya (20), son of Chhotelal Mehra, a resident of Jagdamba Colony, Robin Vishwakarma alias Nandu (19), son of Raju Vishwakarma, a resident of New Kanchanpur and Ankush Pandey (19), son of Sitaram Pandey, resident of Suhagi. Additional Superintendent of Police (North) Rajesh Tiwari and Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sandeep Mishra disclosed this in a press conference on Saturday.

Two men named Pradeep Patel (38) and Deepak Singh (38), residents of Main Road, Indira Nagar, Suhagi, were attacked in Maharajpur area on January 10, 2018. Injured named Deepak Singh informed that he is working as caretaker at rest house of Agriculture College and Pradeep Patel is his friend. A few days back Pradeep was slapped by his cousin Rajendra Mehra. 

On January 9, Rajendra called Pradeep and proposed for compromise with mutual understanding and invited him to house. On Wednesday, Pradeep along with Deepak left for Rajendra’s house on his motorcycle when they met Rajendra who was standing with his friends named Ankush Pandey, Vishal alias Daroga Pandey, Vivek Pandey alias Chuha, Narendra Thakur, Akash Sahu and three other men. Miscreants stopped them. Before he could learn their intentions, Rajendra alias Bade Miya took out a country-made revolver and opened fire at Pradeep, while Ankush and Vishal Pandey also opened fire at him. Vivek, Narendra and Akash attacked them with knives. Pradeep sustained critical injuries on his head, hands, thigh and waist and he fell on the ground. Miscreants also caught Pradeep Patel and attempted to kill him with sharp-edged weapons.

Acting on the complaint, Adhartal police had registered a case under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 294, 307 and 120B of the IPC and Section 25, 27 of Arms Act. Taking a serious note on absconding criminals, SP Shashikant Shukla had declared cash reward of Rs 10,000 on Rajendra Mehra and cash prizes of Rs 5,000 each on Robin Vishwakarma and Ankush Pandey. Accused were apprehended with active efforts of police team comprising SHO Shivraj Singh, Crime Branch, ASI, Ramsanehi Sharma, Head Constable, Vijay Shukla, Constables, Nitin Mishra, Anil Sharma, Rajesh Kewat, Ajit Patel, Anand Tiwari, Cyber Cell’s Rajesh Sharma, Nitin and Adhartal police station’s SI, Hardayal Singh, ASI, Tekchand Sharma, Head Constable, Santosh, Constables, Sanjay and Shukrabhan.
