400 Mathadi workers on strike at Kalamna Railway siding

About 400 Mathadi workers who are working on Kalamna Railway siding stopped work on Wednesday due to pending wages.
Mathadi workers have also given representation to Additional Commissioner Labour, Chairman of Mathadi Board, District Collector, Nagpur and Commissioner of Police.


After keeping patience for almost seven months, Mathadi workers under the leadership of Prakash Jadhav, President of Shiv Sena, Nagpur District and Nitin Tiwari, Vice-President of Yuva Sena Nagpur District on Wednesday stopped the work at the Kalamna Railway siding. Steel material which came at the siding was not unloaded by the workers. The goods bogie is still in the Railway yard which is not being unloaded. Addressing the workers, Prakash Jadhav said, the agitation will continue unless and until the salaries are being given to the workers. If the management fails to take cognisance, thousands of Shiv Sena members will intensify the agitation.


Present were Hitesh Yadav, Ramchandra Dubey, Raju Tumsare, Kishore Parate, Munna Tiwari, Guddu Rahangdale, Haribhau Banait, Mahendra Kathane, Gaurav Gupta, Sanjog Rathod, Pritam Kapse, Nilesh Tighare, Munna Singh Gaur, Ram Kukade, Ashish Hadge, Chaggan Sonwane, Aabas Ali, Ganesh Solanki, Sonu Yadav, Arif Patel, Washim Sheikh, Raju Sukhdeve, Kamlesh Chakole, Ganesh Shahu, Santosh Kashyap and others.
