Fulfilling his commitment to bring back development of the region on track, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bhanupratappur railway station costing Rs 150 crore on April 14. As per schedule, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the railway station between 12 pm and 3 pm.
Meanwhile, South East Central Railway (SECR) sources said that the dream project in the Naxal belt of the state will enhance the economy of the region apart from helping SECR generate record earning through freight service and passenger amenities.

Divisional Railway Manager of SECR, Kaushal Kishore told The Hitavada that the extension of Gudum-Bhanupratappur single line non-electrified Broad Gauge Section is part of Dallirajhara-Rowghat new rail line project. Population of Bhanupratappur is about 20000 and people from Kanker and adjacent areas will get better Railway connectivity for the first time. “Apart from passenger amenities, Bhanupratappur will be an important location for freight services and transportation of iron-ore, a major advantage for Railway,” said the DRM.
