RAJASTHAN Royals defeated Delhi Daredevils by ten runs via DLS method in their rain-affected Indian Premier League match at Jaipur on Wednesday night.Chasing a revised target of 71 from six overs, Delhi had an ominous start as opener Colin Munro was run out on first ball at the non-striker’s end and the team finally scored 60-4. In the context of the game, Dhawal Kulkarni bowled a great second over conceding just four runs with the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Rishabh Pant at the crease.Costliest Indian buy of the season Jaydev Unadkat started brilliantly with three dot balls to Maxwell. But the batsman got the measure of him and scored 14 runs in the next three balls including a six.

But after Australian pacer Ben Laughlin had his country-mate Maxwell caught behind, it was almost all over for Delhi.Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane made 45 off 40 balls and Sanju Samson 37 off 22 and Rajasthan Royals were 153 for 5 in the 18th over when rain stopped play. Rahul Tripathi was batting on 15 while K Gowtham on two when covers were called in. Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi Daredevils captain, was mindful of dew as he chose to bowl in IPL’s return to Jaipur for the first time since 2013.Australia all-rounder Maxwell, who missed the tournament opener and arrived in India only on Monday, slotted in to the Daredevils XI at the expense of all-rounder Dan Christian. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who conceded 46 off his four overs on Sunday, was replaced by left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem.
