Govt employees observe strike for demands at Mantralaya

A large number of Government employees working as clerks remaining on mass leave staged demonstration and observed strike for their demands at Mantralaya on Thursday. These employees working at Satpuda Bhavan, Vindhyachal Bhavan, DIP, Vallabh Bhavan Mantralaya will continue their strike under the banner of six unions of the employees on Friday.
Earlier, these Government employees gathered at Gate Number-1 of Mantralaya where they shouted slogans for their demands remaining half naked. The employees observing strike not allowed anyone to go inside the buildings of Satpuda, Vindhyachal and Vallabh Bhavan. Consequently, the common people who had gone there for their personal work, including seeking help under Rajya Bimari Sahayata Nidhi, Mukhyamantri Sahayata were disappointed and went back without doing work. The employees sent them back by request. Employees union leaders said that the state-wide strike was successful on the first day and the Government will call them for discussion, but the union leaders cleared that they need order, and not just assurance. Employees union leaders, including Engineer Sudhir Nayak, Manoj Bajpai, Mahendra Sharma, Subhash Verma, Dr Suresh Garg, Laxminarayan Sharma, Vijay Raghuvanshi, Mohan Iyer, Umashankar Tiwari, Mahmood Khan, Rakesh Mishra, TP Agnihotri and others stage demonstration and shouted slogans.
