2,308 applications for ‘Samadhan Shibir’

A total of 2,308 citizens submitted their applications for various documents ahead of ‘Samadhan Shibir’ for residents of South-West Nagpur constituency area. Of these applications, already 2,241 have been disposed of appropriately. The applications are being accepted at various counters set up in the premises of Chief Minister’s Secretariat at Hyderabad House in Civil Lines here. The officials of 23 departments are accepting applications, and most of the applicants are being provided relief. Besides, grievances of many people are being redressed. In the past five days, as many as 2,308 citizens enrolled for ‘Samadhan Shibir’. These included 326 grievances relating to various departments. Of the applications received, 2,241 have been disposed of appropriately and relief has been provided in 25 cases of grievances.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Guardian Minister of district, visited the enrolment counters on Friday and also interacted with the citizens. He also took stock of the enrolment drive. The officials informed him that total 116 grievances were received on Friday and 840 citizens had enrolled for various schemes. Most of the applications/grievances were relating to new Aadhaar card, correction in Aadhaar card, affidavits, income certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate, senior citizens’ card, voter registration, registration as construction labour, birth and death registration, disability certificate, blood group certificate etc.

The officials have received several applications relating to individual welfare schemes and community development schemes. These include grievances also about Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Nagpur Improvement Trust, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Spanco Nagpur Discom Limited, Food and Civil Supplies Department, City Survey Office, Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana etc. These applications/grievances have been processed to respective departments.

On account of holidays on April 14 (Saturday) and April 15 (Sunday), the enrolment counters will remain closed. However, the citizens may enrol for ‘Samadhan Shibir’ on April 16 and April 17, between 10 am and 5 pm, stated an official press release. Asha Pathan, Shashank Dabholkar, both Officers on Special Duty to Chief Minister’s Office; Prof Rajiv Hadap; Sandip Joshi, Ruling Party Leader in NMC; all corporators, Chhotu Khandwe, Kalpana Tadas, Surendra Pande, Shripad Gorikar, Ramesh Bhandari, Anusaya Gupta, Ashish Pathak, Sachin Karalkar and others are working to make the camp successful.
