PM Modi pays tribute to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar at Bijapur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the Father of the Constitution Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar by garlanding the portrait of Dr Ambedkar at Jaangla village of Bijapur district on Saturday. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on the occasion. The Prime Minister said, “April 14, observed as Ambedkar Jayanti, is a significant day for 1.25 crore people of India. I am privileged enough to be here with you on the auspicious occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Dr Amedkar and his ideologies have been driving force for the backward community of the society.” Modi said that Dr Ambedkar was a highly qualified intellectual and he would have lived a luxurious life in any part of the world, but he came back to India after completing his education abroad to serve the deprived and dalit class of the society and bring them to the mainstream of the society. “If a poor son of the country like me is a Prime Minister today, I will attribute my achievements to Dr Ambedkar,” said Modi.

When Modi speaks local dialect of Bastar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi won thousands hearts of Bastar when he addressed the gathering in local dialect ‘Halbi’ and paid obeisance to their deity Devi Maa Danteshwari and Bhoramdeo. ‘Kaha-Siyan-Sajan, Dada-Didi Mancho Johar, Leka-Leki Mancho Khube-Khub Maya’ these and a few other local dialect delivered by the Prime Minister were enough to drag the attention of people of the region. Modi also mentioned the names of Gaind Singh and Vir Gundadhur who laid their lived in freedom fights against the British rulers. He also mentioned the martyr jawans for their contribution to the development of the naxal-infested Bastar.

Tribals have rights on Jal, Jungle & Jameen
Tribal people of the region have the rights on Jal, Jaungle and Jameen, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while addressing a gathering at Jaangla. Central government has brought an amendment to its mining law and as per the law a certain portion of the mining fund will be used for the development of the region. Modi said that every development block of the country, which have either more than 50 per cent tribal population or more than 20000 tribals, will have Eklavya Adivasi Residential School by 2022.

Ambedkar showed weaker sections to move ahead with self-respect: CM
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh paid courteous tribute to Bharat Ratna and Chief Architect of Indian Constitution Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue at Ghadi Chowk of capital city Raipur. Chief Minister said that Baba Saheb showed the way to move ahead with self-respect to weaker section of society. He envisioned such an ideal society, where there is no discrimination of caste or status and everyone gets equal opportunities.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal presided over the programme organised by Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar Sarvajanik Samaroh Samiti. The programme was attended by Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey, Chairman Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission Surendra Singh Cambo, Member Tauqeer Raza, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Backward Section Commission Dr Siyaram Sahu, Vice-Chairman Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribe Commission Vikas Markam, Speaker Raipur Municipal Corporation Prafulla Vishwakarma, Chairman Raipur Development Authority Sanjay Shrivastav, Ex-Mayor Sunil Soni, Ex-Corporator Sunil Bandre, and many other representatives.
Chief Minister said that Baba Saheb was ‘Yug Purush’. It is a matter of pride that as per the ideals of Baba Saheb, the community is marching ahead in all the sectors united.

Paying tribute to Baba Saheb, Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that Dr Ambedkar made significant contribution in preserving unity of the society through Constitution and in abolishing many social evils.
The Chief Minister released a book on Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. The book was published by the Department of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development Department and State Sc Commission.

Bhilai collective pays rich tribute to Dr Ambedkar


On the occasion of 127th Birth anniversary of jurist, scholar, economist, politician, social reformer and the framer of the Indian Constitution, Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on April 14, the members of Bhilai Steel Plant collective joined the nation in paying rich tribute and remembered his contributions at a ceremony held at Ambedkar Bhavan, Sector-6, Bhilai.
M Ravi, Chief Executive Officer, Bhilai Steel Plant graced the occasion as chief guest. AK Mathur, ED (Projects), B Saha, Actg. ED (Works), Anurag Nagar, GM I/c (P&A), Jagdish Umre, GM (Mechanical), Sunil Kumar Ramteke, Chairman SAIL SC/ST Employees Federation and L Umakant, Ex-GM (BSP) were present as special guests.
Also present were senior officers, office bearers of BSP SC/ST Association, teachers and students in large numbers. At the outset, chief guest unveiled a statue of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Thereafter he led the distinguished guests in garlanding the portrait of the great statesman at the dais and lit the traditional lamp. He appealed to all those present to pitch in and contribute to ensure that Dr Ambedkar’s vision of India is achieved.
Welcoming the guests, Anurag Nagar, GM I/c (P&A) urged for living up to the vision of
Dr Ambedkar. On this occasion Sunil Kumar Ramteke addressed the gathering and shed light on various facets of Dr Ambedkar and his contribution to the nation. Student, Anshita and Snigdha Sarkar outlined the life and teachings of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Rachna Kosre recited a poem dedicated on Dr Ambedkar. Komal Prasad, General Secretary, presented the annual report of the BSP SC/ST Association.
CEO-BSP, M Ravi released the Souvenir of BSP SC/ST Employees Association on the occasion. He gave away cash awards to meritorious toppers amongst SC/ST students Unnati Dhabarde (SSS-X)and Seema (SSS-X) of Class XII and Class X toppers Bhavya Chauhan, Chirag Chaman Khare, Rohit Janbandhu, Dammu Rajat Kumar, Ku Harshika Dekade, Ku VibhaKanwar, all of Senior Secondary School, Sector-10 and Ku Sakshi of SSS VII. He also gave away cash prizes to winners of the Essay Competition.
On this occasion a skit directed by Sanjay Meshram was staged before an appreciative audience. At the conclusion, Shri Bahadur Jaiswara, Working President,BSP SC/ST Employees Association proposed a vote of thanks. Proceeding of the programme was conducted by Suprio Sen.

Cong leaders recall contributions of Dr Ambedkar

The 127th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the Architect of the Indian Constitution, was celebrated at Congress Bhawan here on Saturday.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupesh Baghel, Rajya Sabha Member Chhaya Verma and other Congress leaders garlanded the portrait of Dr B R Ambedkar.

The Congress leaders recalled the contributions of Ambedkar on the occasion.
