Mayor inaugurates camp for tap connection in Kolar

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), through the facility of tap connection charges in three installments, has given a big relief to the local residents of Kolar. Mayor Alok Sharma inaugurated the camp and distributed tap connection forms in the camp at Zonal Office, Zone Number-18 in Gehukheda on Sunday.According to BMC sources, the consumers will have to pay 50 percent amount in first installment and the remaining installments will be of 25 percent each. Earlier, the citizens had to pay full amount for tap connection.Water supply in Kolar areas is being given through Kaliyasot Water Supply project for which the citizens can pay tap connection charge in three installments.


Mayor Alok Sharma said that the commitment with the citizens about tap water facility and easy installments has been completed. Sharma said that the present Mayor-In-Council’s (MIC) first commitment was water supply in Kolar area and now, people are getting connections at their doorstep. Mayor informed that the connection will also be given to the owners of plots below 650 sq. ft and those living in shanties. A large number of citizens reached in the camp and got new tap connection forms. BMC Additional Commissioner M P Singh, Deputy Commissioner Harish Gupta, Mayor-In-Council member Bhupendra Mali, Zonal Chairperson Manphool Meena, Corporator Ravindra Yati, Pawan Borana, local citizens and BMC officials were present.
