Rlys inaugurates exhibition cum cultural programme

Marking the 63rd Railway week, West Central Railway (WCR) inaugurated three-day national exhibition cum prize distribution ceremony at Bhopal Haat on Sunday.The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest of the occasion Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal. Guest of Honour on the occasion was Manoj Sinha, Union Minister of State for Communications (independent charge) and Minister of State of railways and Rajen Gohain, Union Minister of State of Railways. Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani was present on the occasion Presentation ceremony of National Awards for outstanding services to railway men will be held on Monday at Vidhan Sabha auditorium. The three-day exhibition is open for general public from 11 am to 9 pm. All regional units, production units and other units of railway have participated in the exhibition. Through this exhibition, railway is displaying the contribution of railway in India’s development. New techniques like high speed train (bullet train), Mahamana model coach and other initiatives are being displayed. On the occasion there were also cultural programme in which several folk artists are performing. Selfie points including Victoria terminus, Sanchi Stupa, world class stations etc are the center of attraction for the people. “It is really amazing exhibition as I have never been so close to railway techniques. Through this exhibition, I came to know about the railway techniques and future planning,” said Deepak Kumar, resident Vidya Nagar.
