District Collector O P Choudhary and Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Rajat Bansal on Monday held a meeting with the officials of Health Department and RMC on present status of ongoing campaign across city to curb outbreak of diseases like jaundice, dengue and malaria.
The Collector and the Commissioner also reviewed the status of water quality examination. They directed the officials concerned to speed up the activities being carried out to keep residents away from diseases. They asked the officials to hold special camps in wards.


Both the officials stressed on the need for conducting camps in slums, BSUP and Atal Awas residential areas in and around the city where complaints of jaundice outbreak and other diseases have increased. They asked to compulsorily admit people to the hospital if found affected by any disease. The officials also appealed the residents to refrain from open defecation.
