Inaction on CM Helpline complaints leaves Collector Bhardwaj fuming

The time limit meeting of district administration witnessed pin drop silence when Collector, Chhavi Bhardwaj asked senior officials to explain why CM Helpline complaints could not be redressed in 100 days. None of the officials could give proper reply to the question.Expressing displeasure over the negligence, the Collector asked head of the departments to ensure early redressal of complaints, which are lying pending for more than 100 days. She also asked the officials to see that the complainants are fully satisfied with the outcome.

Bhardwaj was addressing the time limit meeting, which was called to review the progress of CM Helpline complaints, which are lying pending for more than 100 days before various Government departments. Nearly 57 complaints of Lead Banks, 32 of Cooperation, 32 of General Administration, 148 of Revenue, 73 of School Education are lying pending.She stressed the need of redressal of complaints on L-1 and L-2 level only. She directed the officials of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Scheduled Caste Development. Tribal Development Department, Urban Development Department, Panchayati Raj, Energy Department, Backward Class Development, Public Health Engineering and Cooperative Department to make needed efforts for early disposal of pending CM helpline complaints. While taking seriously the matter of delay in providing scholarship, cycle and uniform to students, she asked Project Convener to present before her the certificate certifying completion of the work by April 25. She also expressed displeasure over long pendency of complaints with Tehsildars.

She cautioned that every district officer must visit the portal at least twice in a day so that they could know about filing of e-complaints and take needed steps on time. While reviewing the complaints of Energy Department, she directed Manager Public Service to provide Sub Engineer wise details of pending complaints. She directed to issue notice to Sub Engineers who had failed to redress at least 70 per cent complaints and asked them to be present before her. Bhardwaj also directed Assistant Collector, Sanjana Jain to ensure needed action in the matter related to complaints regarding limitation.
She also expressed unhappiness over non redressal of complaints on the same day under ‘Samadhan Ek Diwas’ system. She directed to issue show cause notice to Nayab Tehsildar, Tehsildar and Sub Divisional Magistrate regarding the same and cautioned all concerned officials to ensure regular review of the process. She also sought details of cases concerned with Public Service Guarantee.
The Collector informed the meeting that she would review the cases concerned with the High Court in every Time Limit meeting.CEO, District Panchayat, Harshika Singh and senior officials of various departments participated in the meeting.
