‘Create wealth for nation rather than focusing on minting money for personal gain’

The two-day Central Region Conference 2018 organised by the Nagpur Chapter of NIPM that concluded on Saturday gave the participants an insight into the development of the region as they all resolved to bring in positive change here.
The views expressed by almost all the speakers reflected similar sentiments that the industrial growth of the region could be achieved only by developing healthy environment at the workplace.


Expressing happiness over the churning of ideas on the crucial topic of Industrial Relation and Personnel Management held during conference, Vijay Phanshikar, Editor The Hitavada, on Saturday believed that the event would pave the way for prosperity of the region. Speaking at the valedictory function of the conference Phanshikar said that realisation of the fact that there is huge scope for strengthening industrial relations in the region indicates that the event is a big success.


“We all have identified that the region is still taking baby steps in terms of industrial growth. The mind boggling sessions held here on Friday and Saturday appeared to have motivated all of us to bring in positive change. It is healthy sign for the region’s development ,” he said. Stressing the need to instill a sense of patriotism in entrepreneurs of the region, Phanshikar urged them to create wealth for the nation rather minting money for personal gain. He also praised all the speakers for sharing their views and thoughts on the topic in a democratic manner and underscored the need to have similar events at regular intervals.


The conference saw more than 12 eminent speakers from HR and IR professionals, lawyers, academicians who discussed on topics like - A Way To Link Industrial Relations and Productivity; Defining Industrial Relations Policy; Political Interventions in Trade Union; Present Trade Union Scenario and its approach towards Business; Employment of Contract Labour - preventive and corrective measures; Employment of Mathadi, etc. Pradip Raut, Chairman of NIPM Nagpur Chapter; Anand Toal, Regional Vice-President, Central Region of NIPM; Sanjay Deo, CEO of Wise HR Manager; Shobha Bhagia, Secretary of Nagpur Chapter of NIPM were on the dais.
