IG Singh asks SP to conduct campaign for Jawans to see their service book

GP Singh, Inspector General of Police, Durg Range held annual inspection of district Durg and later held Durbar. Jawans having turnout of high order in parade were awarded. It was followed by kit parade, MT Section, inspection of arms treasury. IG Singh listened to problems of Jawans in Durbar and instructed to resolve them.
Jawans apprised that they do not get information of their salary, allowances and arrears. Singh urged Jawans to be aware and told salary is paid through e-payment directly into their bank accounts. The information can be also availed through mobile number. Information of Pay Slip, GPF, DPF and CPS is available on government’s web portal e-kosh.


Jawans told they do not get information of prize money for special achievements. IG Singh instructed the SP to conduct a campaign for Jawans to see their service book. With the purpose of boosting moral of Jawans and improving style of functioning, prizes and other orders should be compulsorily endorsed to all concerned.
For pendency of DPF to GPF IG Singh instructed formation of special team under the leadership of a Gazetted Officer. This team will establish coordination with office of Accountant General, Raipur within a week to solve the problems of officers/employes.


Welfare measures for Jawans: Officers/employees should be made all payments and pension orders on the day of retirement. In Durg district 50% Jawans have been allotted government quarters. For rest of employees houses will be constructed through Police Housing Corporation soon. Toilet/Bathroom construction on Thana level was instructed under ODF Scheme. To boost morale of Jawans, refresher programs, games, fitness. Yoga and cultural activities should be organised. Police officers/employees will be made available welfare and administrative orders on their mobiles through SMS Portal to be prepared by SP Durg.


GP Singh emphasizing on Policing said it should be proactive and not reactive so that criminal elements should not be able to carry out the crime in anyway. This will be possible only when Police have all small and major information. Constable and Head Constable level employees should be engaged in collection of information. In order to win trust of public, IG gave tips to the Jawans to have cordial relation with common people for a positive image of Police in the society. 80% Constable and Head Constable Employees are backbone of the department. Hence supervisory officers were instructed to better their efficiency, style of functioning and potential development. Inspection of Police Stations and CSP/SDOP offices will be held very soon.
