Nelson Mother and Child Care Hospital opens in Dhantoli

Nelson Mother and Child Care Hospital was formally opened here in Dhantoli on Sunday. The state-of-the-art hospital, first of its kind in Central India which has dedicated 24x7 life line ambulance with neonatal/pediatric ventilator to transport high risk babies, was inaugurated at the hands Datta Meghe, former MP and Chairman of NYSS – Meghe Group in the presence of Nanda Jichkar, City Mayor. Later in the evening Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Maharashtra Minister for Energy, State Excise, and Nagpur District Guardian Minister also visited the hospital. The hospital comprises of the only PICU in the region to have level three accreditation from IAP- IC Chapter and successfully running fellowship in pediatric intensive care.
The hospital is amalgamation of advances in technology and equipment consisting of two modular operation theaters and obstetric ICU backup.


It has pediatric and neonatal endoscopy unit and one of the largest pediatric ICU setup in Central India with care facilities like Isolation ICU, Pediatric Haemodialysis unit, advanced ventilators, High Frequency Oscillator, iNO, invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, bedside EEG, 2D Echo, USG, ABG etc., 21-bedded NICU capable of reviving extreme premature babies, extreme low birth weight babies and critically ill neonates.NICU and PICU has 24X7 in-house pediatric intensivists, well trained nursing staffs with diagnostic facilities. special air handling units to avoid cross infection. Amit Jain, Director said, “The pioneers in child care in this part of world are taking a step further in enhancing the services in intensive care and adding high risk maternal care in the form of Nelson Mother and Child Care. Integrating high risk maternity services with advanced neonatal care services was a long felt need of the Orange City.”


It has allied services that make the hospital family friendly are - 24x7 diagnostic services back up, 24x7 in house pharmacy, Pneumatic pipelines for automatic sample handling and reports dispatch and HMIS software. The hospital has a 15 bedded general ward, deluxe rooms and suite room with all modern facilities.
