Many schools remain locked on Day One

The start of academic session in Government schools affiliated to the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is celebrated as ‘Praveshotsav’. New entrant students admitted in the schools were welcomed by the teachers on day one of academic session. In order to encourage ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign, series of events have been planned. However, some schools were found locked and students were seen waiting outside the school for teachers.If the teacher does not comem they return home after 12 noon.


In the first phase of campaign round of meetings of Education Department officials would be held with the school management. Praveshotsav, get-together and other educational activities are being organised in schools, along with this subject like Science and Mathematics, practices would be taught to the students for one month as well as Education Department would given targets to the schools to made cent-percent attendance of students.In series at the Kothi Primary School, under Ichaula cluster schools, the celebration of Praveshotsav was held. On this occasion, two students were admitted in school. Along with this, sweet candies were distributed amongst students who informed about lessons that is to be taught to the new comers.


In Gadhiya Tola, Higher Secondary School, Ichaul also a programme was organised. On this occasion in presence of teachers of school students were welcomed and given study material with special mid-day meals. In some rural areas, schools remained locked even on day one due to absence of teachers. In one of the schools, students were found waiting outside the school for their teachers. Waiting for opening of school, students remained seated on the stairs but after the teacher failed to turn up, after a long wait they returned home in afternoon. It may be mentioned that the Janpad Education Center, Uchehara has declared to provide mid-day meal to the students but in many schools due to absence of teachers, students returned empty handed.


According to the directions from higher authorities under the Praveshotsav, students aspiring for admission from class II to VIII would be allowed for admission in schools who are studying from class I to VII. Along with this, student studying from class VIII to XI allowed to be admitted from class IX to XII.In the first week in government school, a programme for guardian get- together would be organised, in which guardians have to give a list educational position, interest of students, activities of student in the session that was organised in first month, to the Education Department.
