Services of 108 employees not terminated: Ziqitza

Ziqitza Healthcare Limited Company presently catering 108 emergency ambulance services contradicts the statement of 108 employees in the press conference organised on Thursday. Company also informed that they are using around 400 old vehicles to mobile patients in need. Jitendra Sharma, Regional Head of ZHL while addressing the press conference stated that the company has not terminated the services of employees but they have directed few drivers not to drive 108 ambulance service till Company and 108 Karmchari Mazdoor Sangh met Labour Commissioner at Indore. Only those employees are directed to avoid services till April 11 who all were breaching the Motor Transport Act.


He added that ZHL has not given termination letter to any employee but has appealed the 108 drivers and crew members to continue the services till the matter comes to an end. They also declined the news of major call abounded percentage on April 3. They said around 27,906 calls rung on the day and they have answered 26,559 calls. Explaining about the conflict he said Motors Transport Workers Act allows them to make 108 employees work in 2 shifts of 12 hours each and they are paying adequate wage to the employees. The employees are working for 3 to 4 hours only as the company considers 108 employees are working while they are on field to dispatch patients. Also the company has installed rest rooms for 108 employees.


Answering the question about the condition of vehicle used for 108 emergency ambulance services representatives informed that the company has replaced 198 ambulance vehicles. Meanwhile, the process of replacing of 200 ambulance vehicles is underway. Notably before 16 months company has received 606 ambulance vehicles out of which 198 are replaced and rest are in questionable situation. These vehicles are driven more than 2.5 lakh kilometers or completed the tenure of 5 years.
