“Our Government is committed to the holistic development of Chhattisgarh. Within span of short term, we have implemented a lot of development works in the spheres of social, economical and physical infrastructure. The development of a state of art Capital City Naya Raipur is evidence to our commitment towards quality and sustainable development”. These views were expressed by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while addressing to the delegates from various states attending Smart City Summit here. The two-day event has been organised by Naya Raipur Development Authority and Elets Techno-media Private Limited.

Appreciating the event Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that summit has brought experts, officials and entrepreneurs to pave way to ensure excellent progress and development in a cohesive and intelligent manner. The event and publication has highlighted potential investment opportunities in various sector in our state as well as Naya Raipur. Besides this State Government is also looking forward for ‘smart village’ concept will is coming future will be fully launched in state.

Aman Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Chairman of Naya Raipur Development Authority said that State’s New Capital Naya Raipur, India’s first Greenfield Smart city planned and executed in 21st century, has state-of-the-art infrastructure at its disposal. The Smart City Project of the city is under implementation, comprises Smart Governance, City Surveillance, Intelligent Transport management System, Electricity and Water supply and City Command and Control Centre among others. He thanked Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh over his vision for the Naya Raipur and under his guidance said State is in news because of its unique project ‘Super Smart Cities’. The Government has decided to transform three of its biggest cities into Smart Cities (Rajnandgaon, Korba and Bhilai). State has joined other States like Haryana and Maharashtra to develop Smart Cities on its own by utilising its own fund.

Elets Techno-media Private Limited Founder and CEO Dr Ravi Gupta said that Chhattisgarh since its inception has been ‘talk of the town’ because of unique citizen centric initiatives under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. Other speakers at the occasion were Ajay Girotra Managing Director AG Dauters Waste Processing Private Limited, Dr Kamal Preet Singh Secretary Industries (Chhattisgarh) and Rajendra Jagtap CEO Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited, Niddhi Choudhari Deputy Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and Sunil Pamjawani, Circle Head (CG) HDFC Bank.
